Halloween 80's Style
Here's my roommate and I getting ready to celebrate Halloween 80's style. If you don't already know, I love the 80's......the style, the music, the movies, even the dance moves.......and so I love getting to break out my 80's collection any chance I get! Something about those bright colors, all that hairspray, and oh so cool fanny packs, just make me happy.
Women of Faith
My aunties, mom, cousin, and me in Portland at the Women of Faith conference
What a true blessing this weekend was. There's nothing quite like the comfort, the joy, and the FUN found in being with family, no matter how much time passes between, the old saying rings true that, "blood is thicker than water." We had a lot of laughs and tears this weekend. As I have been in the process of figuring out the next step in life with graduation quickly approaching, I was reminded of the desire and passion in my heart to "leave a legacy" for the Lord. I left this weekend with the renewed vision of seeking to be in a place that can make MUCH of our beautfiul God. I was reminded that we take nothing with us when we leave this life. I was also reminded to live a life of wonder and delight for our Lord, to "dance like no one's wathcing, love like i've never been hurt, work like i don't need the money, and live each day like it's heaven on earth."
Vegas Wedding
Vegas wedding/high school reunion! My dear high school friend, Catherine, got married in Vegas on Oct. 3rd. She and Jeff have been dating since our sophmore year in high school! My whole family was here for the wedding, which was a blast, as well as a plethra of high school friends I haven't seen in 5 years, so it definitely felt like a reunion. Catherine was an absolutely stunning bride! And me.....well, I caught yet another boquet, 2nd boquet in the last year! ha! Everyone then starts predicting that "you're next", but I just tell them that I'm tall and have a good eye from all those water polo days :)
From the left, Marta, Catherine, me, Erin( bronze medalist '04, synchronized swimming)!!
Roommates
Here are my wonderful roommates. This was Sarah's (far right) last night in SLO with us, so we all had a lil goodbye for her. Two of my roommates, katy and kristen aren't in the pic.
