"Captain Christmas"

This became my mom's new official nickname this past weekend. Two days after turkey day, I discovered the plethra of Christmas decorations my mom had been storing away in our attic. I couldn't believe it! We filled an entire garage with all kinds of boxes and bags of Christmas decoration alone. My mom gets really excited about some particular things, and when she gets excited, let's just say her motto is, "Go big or Go Home." My mom is a Christmas decorating enthusiast. She has an overall gift for designing, and can make the most plain space become inviting, extravagent, and spectacular. The last four years as I have come home from college at Christmas time and entered into our home, I have been impressioned with an overwhelming sense of Christmas cheer that makes me never want the Christmas holiday to be over! She's good at what she does, let me tell you, and so that's why this year it was only appropriate for us to give her the well deserved title of "Captain Christmas".
