Musica...
All the sudden i've turned into a concert junky...in the last two weeks i've gone to 3 concerts..which have all been fabulous. Friday 8/12 went to Dave matthews band concert (w/ black eyed peas as openers) at SBC park. i ended up making friends with a guy who clearly had a weansy too bit much to drink, but a true light hearted fun addition to our group. He was dancing all down the isle way in front of us, some kind of breakdancing i've never seen. he had snuck up to our seating area, and we decided we wanted him to keep dancing in the isle ways, so everytime the security guards came by to question, we pulled him in to stand next to us and acted like he was sitting with us. i guess you never know who you'll meet at a dave concert. i ended up getting handed a ticket for 3rd row seats at the end of the night, so naturally that was ah-mazing!
The following friday i was at the coldplay concert...which i can really say was one of the ALL time top conerts i have ever been to. my seats were on the lawn, i couldn't see the stage nearly as well as at DMB, but the performance, stage prescence, audience interaction, and overall music quality was outstanding. chris martin is truly amazing. they played their song written for johnny cash, and then played the johnny cash song, "ring of fire". both of those songs were extremely well done and an awesome tribute to johnny cash. here's the only pic i have to recount the night at colplay...after the concert we went down to the seating area and decided (like dorks) that we would take a picture up close to the stage as "proof" that we did indeed have good seats.

The next night was Jack Johnson (opened by Matt Costa) at the Greek theater in Berkely. This concert too...(and i promise i'm not always easy to please w/ concerts) was awesome. Very differnt from Colplay's performance style, but still sooo good. He had so many different friends and musicians there that he'd bring out on stage to jam with him. He's so kick back about the whole thing, it's great.
